Lowellville - Richard T. Wilding, 77, went to be with the Lord, on Monday, March 6, 2017 in Hospice of the Valley's, Hospice House. He was born May 13, 1939 in Youngstown, to the late Howard and Caroline Sarver Wilding.
He was a 1957 graduate of East High School and proudly served in the United States Army. Rich was employed as a truck driver for Superior Beverage for 30 years, retiring in 1996. He was a member of Church of the Rock and was a little league baseball coach for many years when he was younger. Rich also was manager of Youngstown Curve Form in the Youngstown Slow Pitch League and won the league championship in the late 1960's. He enjoyed golfing and bowling and was an avid Cleveland Sports fan. Rich loved cooking his famous spaghetti and meatballs for his family and neighbors. He enjoyed doing yard work, especially cutting his grass on his lawnmower. He was a very kind hearted person and was sometimes generous to a fault. Rich will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
He leaves his wife of 57 years, Tina Wilding; two sons, Jeffrey Wilding of Boardman and Michael Wilding of Chicago, IL; two daughters, Tracey (Daniel) Zupko of Poland and Barbara (Sam) Zangmeister of Columbus, OH. He was a loving grandfather to his six grandsons, Josh Wilding, Daniel and Evan Zupko, Travis Wilding, Samuel and Nathan Zangmeister. He also leaves his brother, Warren (Patricia) Wilding of Boardman and his cat, Hobo.
A memorial service will be held on Friday at 6pm at the Davis-Becker Funeral Home, 8536 Market St. Boardman, with Pastor Reid Lamport officiating.
Friends will be received prior to the service, from 4-5:45pm at the funeral home.
