Richard J. Vesy

Richard J. Vesy, 71 Boardman- Richard J. Vesy, 71, passed away late Monday evening. Richard was born in Youngstown,Ohio on March 3, 1934, a son of Cecil A. and Ruth Carolyn Goers Vesy. He was a graduate of South High School. He retired from ATT as a Special Systems Technician in 1993, after 40 years of service. As a member of the Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church he was active with the P.G.C. Menâa�a��s Group. His other interests included the Struthers Seniors Card Club and the N.R.A. In loving memory he leaves; his wife, Carol, whom he married January 26, 1979; his mother-in-law, Doris Weiss; two sons, Richard T. (LuAnn) Vesy of Poland, OH and Dr. Christopher J. Vesy of Dallas,TX; two daughters, Valerie (John) McElroy of Houston,TX and Deborah A. Vesy of Cleveland, OH; and two grandchildren, Miranda and Rikki Vesy. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Cecil T. Vesy, who was killed in the Korean Conflict. Private family services were held today with the Rev. Nicholas J. Cammarata officiating. There were no calling hours. In memory of Dickâa�a��s service to others, memorial contributions may be sent to the Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church in c/o the Vesy Memorial Fund, 3919 Southern Blvd. Youngstown, OH 44512.
