Richard E. Rose, 80
BOARDMAN - Richard E. Rose, 80, died Dec. 9, 2011, at his residence, with his beloved wife, Patricia, by his side.
Richard was born March 14, 1931, in Youngstown, son of Charles and Lavora Arrants Rose.

Richard was member of St. James Episcopal Church, The Youngstown Club, and The Lake Club. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served during the Korean Conflict.
Richard was known for his amazing joke telling ability. When he walked into any gathering, people immediately asked him to tell a joke. He was an avid Browns and Indians fan whether they won or lost. He had an amazing memory for sports trivia and statistics. People were amazed when he often repeated a sports fact or stat, and a few minutes later the announcer would say the same thing
His favorite times were with his family, and he looked forward to Sunday dinners with as many as possible around the table. Everyone looked forward to his homemade chicken noodle soup and warm baked bread on a snowy Sunday in the Winter.
After his first cruise to the Caribbean, he was hooked, and he and his wife and friends or family cruised at least twice a year. He was know as Señor Richard, the man who handed out two dollar bills to cruise staff. He also loved going to Cancun with his family and enjoyed his yearly trip there.
He will be missed by his two dogs, Max and Pogo, who were devoted to him and he to them.
