Poland - Richard E. Miller, 65, of Poland, died Saturday morning, November 24, 2018 at Cleveland Clinic after a long and courageous battle with pancreatitis.

Rick was born October 18, 1953 in Youngstown, a son of Richard and Elizabeth Kelly Miller.

He was raised in Chicago and returned to the area and graduated from The Rayen School in 1972. Rick worked at several restaurants in Chicago and after returning to Youngstown he worked in the kitchen of Park Vista. After graduating he made paint for Mahoning Paint Company. He then became an inside estimator for plumbing and heating for Trumbull Supply, C&V Wholesale and later, Morrone Mechanical. Most recently Rick worked part-time at the farm of the Purple Cat.

Rick enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and camping and was a jack of all trades. He was an awesome cook and was very passionate about his recipes. He loved being Papa to his grandson "Moose" and enjoyed being with him the first six months of his life. Rick will be remembered for his big heart, love of his family and generosity to others.

Rick leaves the love of his life, his high school sweetheart, Sandy Hantula, whom he married June 28, 1975; one daughter, Angelique (John) High of Chambersburg, PA; one son, Brian Miller of Beaver Falls, PA; one sister, Rosemary (Carmen) Ferraro of Austintown, OH; two brothers, Bruce Miller of Pinellas Park, FL, and Alfred (Kathy) Miller of Youngstown, OH; one grandson, John High; one grandchild on the way; Rick's special brother and sister, Bruce and Pam Gigax; Rick's special niece, Samantha (David) Iafelice and special nephew, Nicholas Gigax.You are there to share in all of our family milestones.

In addition to his parents, Rick was preceded in death by one sister, Renee Conrad; and one brother, Harry Miller.
