Richard John Larson

New Springfield - Richard John Larson, 62, died July 27, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.
Mr. Larson was born June 4, 1952 in Youngstown, a son of Vergil and Eugenia Zolbec Dixon.
He was a 1971 graduate of Springfield Local High School. He worked as a carpenter in the Youngstown area before retiring in 2012.
Richard was very interested in politics and was a contributor to the NRA.
He is survived by his wife the former Shirley Minor, whom he married June 14, 1981; his mother, Eugenia Dixon of New Middletown; one grandson, Christopher Larson; one son, Kevin Larson of Florida; three brothers, Denny Larson of New Springfield, Steve (Karen) Larson of New Springfield, and Greg Larson of New Middletown; and one sister, Louise (Walt) Ketchem of Arizona.
Besides his father, Richard was preceded in death by one daughter, Laura Larson.
Friends and family will be received Wednesday from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and 5:00PM-7:00PM at the Davis-Becker Funeral Home, 8536 Market St., Boardman.
The family requests that all gifts take the form of donations in c/o Becker Funeral Home, 11 Spring St., Struthers, OH 44471 to help with expenses.
