Richard E. Kratzer

Richard E. Kratzer Youngstown--Richard E. Kratzer, age 76 of 2308 E. Midlothian Blvd., died Saturday morning at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Mr. Kratzer was born November 11, 1929 in Arlington, West Virginia, a son of Harold & Ruby Pearl Rucker Kratzer. He was employed by Union Pacific Railroad as a Brakeman. His wife the former Jean Louis Berton, whom he married March 7, 1977, died August 20, 2005. He is survived by one son, Richard Wayne Kratzer; two step sons; Gary (Laraine) Solvesky of Poland; Joseph (Patty) Solvesky of New Middletown; one step daughter, Charlotte (David) Hoxworth of Youngstown. Besides his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by two step sons Ronald & Shawn Solvesky. Services and interment will be private. Arrangements by the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers.
