Services will be held Friday, 11:00am at Davis-Becker Funeral Home in Boardman for Richard Alan Kratsas. He passed away Tuesday evening at Omni Manor Health Care Center.
Mr. Kratsas was born Dec. 10, 1942 in Pittsburgh, PA, a son of Nicholas and Ruth Hicks Kratsas. He graduated from South Hills High School and had worked for General Extrusions as an aluminum extruder.
Richard was an avid Pittsburgh Sports fan especially the Steelers.
Surviving him is his wife, the former Carla A. Underwood whom he married Dec. 12, 1981, and three step children, Kerry (Elie) Khoury of Boardman, Vic (Kim) Gasior of Youngstown, and John (Jody) Gasior. Six grandchildren, Eli, Zac, Joey, Lily, Audrey, and Elise.
Preceding him in death besides his parents, are a brother Nick Kratsas and a sister Rose Kunz.
Friends may call Thursday from 5-8:00 p.m. and Friday from 10-10:50 a.m. both at the funeral home.
Material tributes may take the form of contributions to Grace Hospice, 7206 Market St., Suite B, Boardman, OH 44512.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Harriett Schor of V.P.A., Grace Hospice and the East Wing staff at Omni Manor for their care, comfort and compassion.
Richard loved his gardening and being with his grandchildren the most.
He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.
