Poland - Richard Gregory Kelley, 79, of Poland, died Friday, January 30, 2009 at his residence, surrounded by his children. Mr. Kelley was born September 24, 1929 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, a son of John and Ruth Bowman Kelley. He was a graduate of Mt. Lebanon High School and received his bachelor's degree in economics and political science from Washington and Jefferson University. Mr. Kelley worked as Vice President of sales for Comdoc for 40 years, retiring in 1992. He was a member of Holy Family Church in Poland. Mr. Kelley loved to travel, enjoyed his family, friends, and was an avid golfer. He was a United States Army veteran serving during the Korean War as a First Lieutenant. His wife, the former Marjorie Mary Beard, whom he married May 8, 1954, died June 29, 1985. He leaves two daughters, Barbara (Robert) Dwyer of Mill Hall, Pennsylvania and Donna (Bill) Fahey of Eden Prairie, Minnesota; three sons, Gregory (Pattie) Kelley of Poland, Michael (Alicia) Kelley of Apex, North Carolina, and Thomas Kelley of Poland; one brother, Bernard (Shirley) Kelley of Matthews, North Carolina; 12 grandchildren, Julie, Kristine, and Lauren Dwyer, Kyle and Shannon Fahey, and Tyler, Nathan, Leigh, Anne, David, Megan, and Sarah Kelley. Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one brother, David M. Kelley. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Poland and a 10 a.m. Mass at the Holy Family Church. Interment will follow at Poland Riverside Cemetery. Family and friends will be received Monday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Kelleyâa�a��s name to the St. Vincent DePaul Society, 77 E.
