North Lima - Richard Earl Hensch, 70, of North Lima, died Tuesday afternoon at his residence.
Richard affectionately known as Dick was born December 11, 1941 in Youngstown, a son of the late Earl and Laura Sims Hensch.
A 1959 graduate of Poland Seminary High School, Dick was a brakeman for P&LE Railroad for 27 years retiring in the 1980's. After retirement, Dick established Colonial Craft Woodworking. He was also a subcontractor for Weatherlock/CVS for 15 years. An outdoorsman, Dick loved to fish, camp and work in his garden. He was also an avid pool player. Dick was a member of New Life Assembly.
His wife, the former Patricia Jean Morrow, whom he married September 23, 1967 died November 18, 2011. He leaves three daughters, Jennifer (Louie) Santiago of Boardman, Brandy McGehee of North Lima, and Donna (Daniel) Burnette of Petersburg; one son, Rick (Marsha) Waldele of Poland; one sister, Kathy Gifford of Hershey, PA; eleven grandchildren, Jeff Waldele, Anna (Chadd) Anderson, Shawn McGehee, Jena McGehee, Tiffany (Jim) Fegert, Tawna (Jessie) Jeffries, Jesse Burnette, Cameron Santiago, Noah Santiago, and Briawna Santiago; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, 11:00 AM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home Poland with Pastor Bob Reese officiating. Interment will follow at the Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Boardman.
Friends will be received Friday from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the funeral home.
