Richard A. âa�A"Dickâa�A� Clark, 70 Boardman- Richard A. Clark, 70, died Tuesday afternoon at St. Elizabeth Medical Center after a courageous 8 year battle with cancer. Mr. Clark, also known as Dick, was born July 18, 1935, in Youngstown, a son of Emmett and Gladys Shartzer Clark. He was a life-long area resident. A 1953 graduate of The Rayen School, Mr. Clark was a printer for The Vindicator for 32 years retiring in 1994. Upon retirement he was co-owner of Digital Graphics in Boardman. Mr. Clark was a member of St. Luke Church where he was usher, lector, member and past treasurer of Holy Name Society, and past treasurer of St. Vincent DePaul Society. He was past secretary of the local International Typographical Union. Mr. Clark enjoyed an active retirement, golfing, traveling, and attending all of his grandchildrenâa�a��s sporting events. Besides his wife, the former Maureen Brown, whom he married August 24, 1963, he leaves one daughter, Kathleen (Jaye) Graham of Chippewa, Pennsylvania; two sons, Richard (Fran) Clark of Poland and Kevin (Kimberly) Clark of Columbiana; one sister, Helen Philibin of Austintown; one brother, Chuck (Betty) Clark of San Diego, California; and six grandchildren, Daniel and Thomas Graham, Ricky and Nicole Clark, and Logan and Ethan Clark. Besides his parents, Mr. Clark was preceded in death by three sisters, Betty Laughlin, Ruth Gething, Nell Wellendorf and one grandson, Austin Clark. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 9:30 AM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland and 10:00 AM at St. Luke Church. Friends may call Friday, from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
