Rev. Joan M. Heisler

North Lima -Rev. Joan M. Heisler, 63, died Saturday morning, August 1, 2015 at Parkside Health Care Center in Columbiana, after a three year battle with cancer.
Joan was born November 7, 1951 in Canton, a daughter of the late Louis and Margaret Lang Heisler.
Raised in the Canton area, Joan graduated from St. Thomas High School in Louisville and received her degree in anatomy and physiology from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. Joan was an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God. She was currently on staff at Metro Assembly of God in Youngstown, where she was the Pastor of Women's Ministry and World Missions of which she was extremely passionate.
Joan is survived by her sister, Frances Vernier of Louisville; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Marjorie Register and her brother, Donald Heisler.
A funeral service will be held Sunday at 6 p.m. at Metro Assembly of God, 2530 South Ave., Youngstown. Private interment will take place on Monday at St. Joseph Cemetery, Mogadore.
Friends will be received Sunday from 4-5:45 p.m. at the church, prior to the service.
