R.C. Barnes

Canfield - Ronald C. Barnes, 86, of Canfield, died December 15, 2021 at Mercy Health-St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown. He was born December 17, 1934 in Waynesboro, PA, a son of Robert and Ann (Sullivan) Barnes.

He is survived by his children, Ronald Clifford Barnes Jr, Rhonda Kay Barger-Jannetti (Guido), Carolyn JoAnne Barnes, Alan Scott (Trish) Barnes and Billie Jo Barnes; thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Sandra Barnes (Willys) Smith, Roger (Diane) Barnes, Russ (Diana) Barnes, Michael (Viola) Barnes and James Lee Wilson.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by six of his eleven siblings; two of his seven children, Donald Clayton and Michael Patrick; and one great-grandchild, Solomon Joseph Smolko.

RC became a long-haul trucker at an early age and spent his life on the road.  He loved country music and the great open country of Idaho where he lived a great portion of his life.  His ashes will be taken to Idaho and placed at rest on his family plot.

There are no services or calling hours.
