Youngstown - Rayma Jean Hughes, 85, died Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at Hospice of the Valley's Hospice House.
Rayma was born April 12, 1933 in Youngstown, a daughter of Thomas and Ida Snyder Wynn.
A lifelong area resident, she attended South High School. Prior to her marriage, Rayma worked as a counter server for Isaly's in Youngstown and later became a dedicated homemaker.
She was a member of Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church, the Saxon Club, and the Youngstown Maennerchor. In her free time, Rayma enjoyed bowling and golfing in the Maennerchor leagues and playing cards.
Her first husband, Robert Cox, whom she married in 1951, preceded her in death in 1960, and her second husband, Frederick Hughes, whom she married in 1961, preceded her in death in 2006. She is survived by two sons, Bob (Sara) Hughes of Van Wert and Brian (Kathleen) Hughes of Austintown; two daughters, Nina (Rexford) Link of Florida and Rayma Lee Dade of Florida; five grandchildren, Kati (C.J.) Long, Robert (Kimberly) Hughes, Amanda (James) Speiser, Max Dade, and Maggie Dade; and six great-grandchildren, Jon Michael, Tyler, Hannah, Owen, Levi, and Hudson.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Rayma was preceded in death by her brother, Tom Wynn; and son-in-law, Daniel Dade.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday at 11 a.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, 270 N. Main St., Poland, where family and friends will be received from 10-10:45 a.m., prior to the service. Private interment will be on Monday at Lake Park Cemetery.
The family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions in Mrs. Hughes name to Hospice House, 9803 Sharrott Road, Poland, OH 44514.
