RAY E. LEE âa�" 80 Brookfield âa�" Ray E. Lee, 80 of 161 Brook Dr, died Wednesday afternoon at his residence under the care of Hospice of Trumbull County. Mr. Lee was born December 29, 1926 in Girard, a son of Fred and Mary Craiger Lee. He was a life long area resident. He was a graduate of Liberty High School. Mr. Lee was a WWII Navy Veteran, where he served on the USS Lyra in the South Pacific, where he received the Victory Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Medal, American Area Medal, and the Philippine Liberation Medal. He then went on and attended the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics, the Embry Riddle of Avaiation. He was a Member of the Wick Lodge # 481 F.& A.M and a 32nd degree Mason of the York Rite., He was a 3rd time Past Noble Grand of the Odd Fellows of Hubbard, and a charter member of the Hello Brothers Club. Mr. Lee also managed the Youngstown Baseball Class B League, and also managed Pony, Babe Ruth & Double A Teams. Mr. Lee had worked for Marquart Brothers, where he was a Food Broker, he retired in 1987 after 35 years. He is survived by his wife the former Ada âa�A"Virginiaâa�A� Harless, one daughter, Deborah Burnett of of Delta, OH, three sons, Fred (Marianne) Lee of Hubbard, Craig (Joann) Lee of Lowellville, Roy (Renee) Lee of Hubbard, 11 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Miles, Joe and Elwood Lee, and three sisters, Georgia Hake, Florence Greathouse, and Virginia Lee. There will be no calling hours.
