Ramona Lynn Cramer

Canfield - Ramona Lynn Cramer, 94, formerly of Poland, died Monday, May 6, 2024, at the Inn at Ironwood.
Ramona, affectionately known as "Lynn," was born May 28, 1929 in Millwood, Ohio, a daughter of Harker and Mistle (Layman) Busenburg.
She was a graduate of Mt. Vernon High School, Class of 1947. In 1950, she earned her nursing degree from the Grant Hospital School of Nursing in Columbus and was a member of its Alumni Association. Mrs. Cramer was also a member of the original Harvard Medical School Nurses' Health Study from 1976 until her passing.
Her first nursing job was at Memorial Hospital in Mt. Vernon, where she became the head nurse of the first floor patients and Emergency Room, until she married Paul H. Cramer on December 15, 1951. When they relocated to Youngstown, Ohio, Lynn worked for a short time at South Side Hospital, until the birth of her two sons. Lynn dedicated her time and love to being a full-time mom while her boys were young and enjoyed volunteering as a Cub Scout Den Mother and helping with the Wilson High School Band Parents. After her boys were older, she returned to work.
Mrs. Cramer was an active member of the former Faith Community Covenant Church in Brownlee Woods, where she served as a deaconess, helped start a junior church for young children, and served on numerous committees. Most recently, she was a member of the First Covenant Church in Boardman.
Lynn is survived by her son, Jeffrey (Terry) Cramer of Poland; daughter-in-law, Vicky Cramer of Spring Hill, FL; five grandchildren, Jennifer (Frank) Melia of Canfield, Jeffrey (Danielle) Cramer, II of Poland, Amanda (Fritz) Foraker of Westerville, Mark (Theresa Mary) Cramer of Norwalk, CT, and Bryan (Kristen) Cramer of Spring Hill, FL; and seven great-grandchildren, Frank Melia, III, Gabriella Cramer, Evangeline and Elayna Foraker, Adelaide Cramer, and Moxie and Rebel Cramer.
In addition to her parents, Lynn was preceded in death by her husband, Paul H. Cramer, whom she married December 15, 1951, on June 6, 2018; son, Randall Cramer; and siblings, Ida Mae McKinley, Pauline Leighty, Edith Johnson, Ann Doup, Harold Busenburg, and George Busenburg.
Lynn was a very private person and respecting her wishes, there will be no calling hours or public service. A private committal service for family was held at Lake Park Cemetery.
