Ralph A. Jordon Jr., 81, died January 13, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Ralph was born February 29, 1936 in Youngstown, a son of Ralph and Teresa Casesse Jordon.
He was a 1954 graduate of East High School. Ralph was a millwright at Youngstown Sheet and Tube, Ravenna Arsenal, Wean United, and retired from Tamco.
Ralph was a member of Immaculate Conception in Youngstown and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Austintown.
His passion was coaching Little League baseball and then Austintown football with Little Falcons with his good friend Jim Evans. He enjoyed watching sports-Indians, Cavs, The Ohio State, and his beloved Cleveland Browns-"sorry dad maybe next year".
He loved his Italian heritage, but most of all he loved his family especially his kids, grandkids,and great-grandkids, which brought him the most joy in his life.
Ralph was an avid golfer, which all started when he was a caddy at Youngstown Country Club.
He is survived by his wife, the former Betty Sylvester, whom he married April 9, 1956; three children, Nick (Karen) Jordon of Stow, Garry (Roxane) Jordon of Canfield, and JoAnn (Dave) Bianco of Canfield; six grandchildren, Nicholas (Lori), Thomas (Cassie), Jennifer (Derek), Jenna, JoVanna (Patrick), and David (Briana); seven great-grandchildren, Abby, Lilly, Anna, Anthony, Emmerich, Hunter, and Gwendolyn.
Besides his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by four brothers, Sam, Arsie, Frank, and Vince Jordon; three sisters, Margaret Mezzapeso, Caroline Mikolaj, and Eleanore Kopstoffer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica, Saturday at 10:00am with Very Rev. Msgr. Michael J. Cariglio Jr. officiating.
Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery, Austintown.
