RACHEL S. AMADIO âa�" 88 YOUNGSTOWNâa�"Rachel S. Amadio, 88 of 2493 Frostwood Dr., died Saturday evening at Brookdale Clare Bridge in Austintown. Mrs. Amadio was born in Struthers, on December 20, 1918 a daughter of John Struthers & Alice Rex Stewart. She was a 1939 graduate of Struthers High School, and attended of the Free Methodist Community Church in New Middletown. Mrs. Amadio enjoyed playing the harp and playing bridge. She was an excellent gourmet cook and seamstress. Mrs. Amadioâa�a��s husband, John âa�A"Tonyâa�A� worked for Marion Power Shovel company, after he retired, from the military, and she enjoyed traveling the world with him to Pakistan, Turkey, Germany & all through out Europe. She loved the adventure of traveling thru foreign lands. She is survived by her husband, John âa�A"Tonyâa�A� Amadio, whom she married May 16, 1939, one son, Paul T. (Rae) Amadio of Cary NC., and five grandchildren. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by one sister Ellen Mangis, and one brother, Rev. Wilfred Stewart. Family and friends may call Tuesday from 4-7 at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home Struthers, where services will be held Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Poland Riverside Cemetery.
