Phyllis Louise Protopapa

August 18, 1938 — April 12, 2013

Poland - Phyllis Louise Protopapa, 74, died April 12, 2013 at the Hospice House.

Mrs. Protopapa was born August 18, 1938 in Youngstown, a daughter of John and Ann Kroynovich Pasco.

She was a graduate of The Rayen School and worked for many years as a hostess, first for the former Mansion Restaurant and retired from Isle of Capri.

Mrs. Protopapa was a member of Christ Our Savior Parish at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church in Struthers. Phyllis loved surrounding herself around family and will always be remembered as dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother.

Her husband, Anthony Protopapa Sr., whom she married June 8, 1957, died December 20, 2000. She is survived by three daughters, Patricia (Anthony) Hayek of Poland, Diana (Stephan Pfeifer) Protopapa of Denver, and Jamie (Drew Kidder) Protopapa of Denver; son, Anthony (Linda) Protopapa Jr. of Struthers; sister, Andrea (William) Sawaska of Hubbard; two brothers, John "Sonny" (Sandra) Pasco of Girard and Richard (Kim) Pasco of Hubbard; six grandchildren, Kellie (Sean Bryant) Salreno of Denver, Anthony and Alessandra Protopapa of Struthers, Simone Pfeifer of Denver, and Ziggy and Linus Kidder of Denver; and great-grandchild, Bianca Bryant of Denver.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Geraldine Lettera and Jacqueline Tiberio; and brother, Robert Pasco.

There will be no calling hours. A private prayer will be held for the family. Arrangements are being handled by the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home.

The family would like to express their gratitude, and thank Hospice House for the wonderful care they gave to Phyllis.
