Phyllis G. Jones

Phyllis Grace Jones Struthers- Phyllis Grace Jones, 77, of Maplecrest Nursing Home, died Monday afternoon at St. Elizabeth Health Care Center. Miss. Jones was born December 12, 1926 in Youngstown, a daughter of William and Ada Simon Jones. She was a life-long area resident. She was a graduate of Wilson High School and St. Elizabeth School of Nursing. For over 25 years, she was a registered nurse, serving in different capacities including Visiting Nurses Association, for Dr. Gasser and also in private duty. She was a member of the Welsh Club. She is survived by her brother-in-law, Tom Walker and nephew, Robert Walker, both of Struthers and a nephew Jeffrey Jones of California. Besides her parents, one sister, Thelma B. Walker and one brother, Norman Jones preceded her in death. A memorial prayer service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday at the Maplecrest Nursing Home 400 Sexton Street Struthers. Arrangements are by Davidson-Becker Funeral Home in Struthers. Memorial tributes may be made in the form of contributions to the Phyllis G. Jones memorial fund in care of the funeral home at 11 Spring Street Struthers, Ohio 44471.
