Philomena âa�A"Mamieâa�A� Melillo, 92 Youngstown- Philomena âa�A"Mamieâa�A� Melillo, 92, of Lowellville died Sunday morning at the St. Elizabeth Hospital. Mrs. Melillo was born January 26, 1910, in New York, New York to Michael and Mary Ferina Boggia. She was a 1928 graduate of Lowellville High School and a lifelong area resident. She was a member of Holy Rosary Church, the Lowellville American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and the Lowellville Senior Citizens. She enjoyed crocheting, and cooking. Besides her husband Patsy Melillo, whom she married August 29, 1929, and who died June 9, 1984, she is survived by her two sons: Gerald (Catherine) Melillo and William (Marie) Melillo both of Lowellville; two brothers: Al Boggia of Lowellville; Mike Boggia of Coalsberg; 4 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a sister: Rose Zarlingo; and a brother: Louis Boggia. Prayer Services will be held at 10AM, Wednesday at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Lowellville, and a funeral mass 10:30 AM at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday, from 4-7 PM.
