Petersburg - Philomena Rose (LoGiudice) Dean, 75, passed away September 19, 2018 at Mercy Health St. Elizabeth Health Center surrounded by her family. Philomena was born June 27, 1943 in Youngstown, a daughter of John and Helen Zagotti LoGiudice.
She was educated by the Catholic nuns and priests of St. Columba Cathedral and attended Rayen High School. Philomena was a homemaker and also was a care giver to her mother, Helen.
She was baptized and a member of St. Columba Cathedral.
Philomena was a servant at heart, a mother to everyone who was influential in many lives.
She is survived by one son, Ken (Nicole) Dean of New Waterford; one daughter, Tina Marie Strong of Houston, TX; six grandchildren, Kenny Dean, III, John Dean, Alisha Dean, Elizabeth Dean, Jaxton Dean, ,Zachary Strong, Ashley Duncan; one great-grandchild, Jace Dean; two sisters, Linda Dutton of Canfield and Eve Christopher of Canfield.
Besides her parents, Philomena was preceded in death by one sister, Irene LoGiudice; and one brother, John LoGiudice.
A prayer service will be held Wednesday at 9:15AM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, 270 N. Main St., Poland, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM at St. Columba Cathedral. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Youngstown.
Friends and family will be received Tuesday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
