Boardman - Peter C. Joseph, 58, died Tuesday afternoon June 11, 2013 at the Cleveland Clinic, from complications of a heart attack, that he suffered on Tuesday, June 4.
Peter, affectionately known as Pete was born September 15, 1954 in Youngstown, a son of Joe and Frances Joseph.
He was a 1972 graduate of Chaney High School and in 1977 received his bachelor's degree in Engineering from Youngstown State University. Pete and his family lived in California for 12 years, eventually moving back to the area in 1992 to be near family and friends. For the last 6 years, Pete worked as an Aircraft Design Engineer at Allen Aircraft in Ravenna.
Pete was a devoted husband and father, always making his family his top priority. Everyone that knew him loved him and his presence will be missed. Pete enjoyed traveling and was an avid golfer and Cleveland sports fan.
In addition to his mother Frances Boone of Boardman, Pete is survived by his wife, the former Roberta "Robbie" Belcik, whom he married December 19, 1981; one son, Eric Joseph of Kent; three sisters, Carol (Bruno) Hoffmann of San Francisco, Therese Joseph of Youngstown, and Linda (David) Kiraly of Canfield; one brother, Bill Joseph of Youngstown; father and mother-in-law, Frank and Eleanor Belcik of Youngstown; sisters-in-law, Franciene (Steve) Wagner of Boardman and Sandy (Sid) Dabir of St. Joseph, Michigan; brother-in-law, Frank (Erika) Belcik of Austintown; and nieces and nephews, Christine and Blake Hoffmann of San Francisco, Bret Kiraly and Sarah (Brian) Taylor all of Seattle, Nicholas Belcik of Austintown, Stuart Wagner of Cleveland, and Anne Wagner of Boardman.
Pete was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Davis-Becker Funeral Home, at their new location, 8536 Market St., Boardman. Interment will be Friday at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
