Peter Botsko, 79 Poland- Peter Botsko, 79, died Friday evening at Northside Hospital. Mr. Botsko was born in Youngstown on June 5, 1924, a son of Steve Botsko and Mary Uhlar Botsko. He was a 1943 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School. He worked as a Machinist at Commercial Shearing, retiring in 1985. Peter was an avid bowler and was inducted into the Bowling Hall of Fame in 1989. He was a member of the Youngstown Menâa�a��s Bowling Association, where he was Director for 10 years. He was Secretary of local 2332 Bowling League for 30 years and of Stadium Lincoln League for 15 years. He was elected Secretary of the Year in 1997. He was also an avid golfer. He was a member of Holy Family Church in Poland. He leaves his loving wife, the former Emma Richard, whom he married September 23, 1950; one daughter, Patricia M. Botsko (Michael Bechtol) and one grandson, Christopher Bechtol, of Bellingham, Washington; one sister, Helen Knizat of Leetonia; four brothers, Mike Botsko of Leetonia, Edward (Mary) Botsko of Columbiana, Bill (Betty) Botsko of Gastonia, NC, and Nick (May) Botsko of Youngstown; sisters-in-law Alice Richard, Lois Forney, Betty (Harry McFall), all of Youngstown; brother-in-law Horace Richard of Columbus; numerous friends; and his little dog, Angel. He was preceded in death by one brother, Steve Botsko; one sister, Mary Sobnosky; and his brothers-in-law and friends, Jim Richard and Wilbur Richard. Funeral services will be Tuesday 9:30 at Cunningham-Becker, Poland and 10:00 at Holy Family Church. Friends may call Monday from 7 âa�" 9 PM at the funeral home.
