Pearl Kathleen Morell, 79 Lowellville - Pearl Kathleen Morell, 79, of 810 West Wood Street formerly of Struthers died Sunday morning at Boardman Community Care. Pearl Kathleen Morell a descendant of Francis Scott Key, was born December 31, 1922 in Friend, Nebraska, daughter of the late Hugh and Susan Wilson Norris. She came to Struthers in 1945. Mrs. Morell graduated Salutatorian of Betheny High School, Eagle, Nebraska where she was the recipient of the National Merit Award Scholarship and a member of the National Honor Society. She attended the University of Nebraska for three years majoring in Dietary Science. She was a waitress for the The Elmton for 18 years and then for the Desert Inn for 12 years. She was a member of St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church, Struthers, a member of the Lowellville Park Apartments Council, Struthers Federated Democratic Ladies and a volunteer for Dacus Hot Meals. She participated in many sports including softball, roller derby and bowling. She was an avid fan of the Nebraska Cornhuskers football team. She leaves five daughters, Judith (James) Dill, Cathy (Robert) Bohl and Tina Morell all of Struthers and Toni (Gary) Bohl of North Canton, OH; one son, Albert (Cheryl) Morell Jr., of Boardman; Grandchildren, Lisa Bohl Hritz, Sam Bohl, Dawn (Scott) Dill Crawford, Amy Dill, Christina Bohl, Albert Todd Morell and Robert J. West III; two great-grandsons and three great-granddaughters. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, 11:30 AM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home,Struthers and 12:00 Noon at St. Nicholas Church. Friends may call Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Funeral Home.
