Pauline Brown, 94
POLAND - Pauline Brown, 94, of Struthers, formerly of Poland, died Friday morning at her daughter's residence in Struthers.
Pauline was born Sept. 24, 1917, in Creekside, Pa., a daughter of John and Elizabeth Brehm Lackey.
She was a graduate of Indiana High School and worked in the cafeteria for the Youngstown School District from 1960 until 1977.
She was a member of the A.A.R.P., Brownlee Woods Sr. Citizens, and the New Middletown Home Extension. Pauline was a member of the former Bethlehem United Church of Christ and its Fortress Sunday School Class.
Her husband, John Brown, whom she married April 2, 1939, died July 28, 2007.
She leaves her daughter, Paulette (Bob) Kirby, with whom she lived; three grandchildren, Holly (aka: Peter McLain), George (Dee) and John Kirby; and two great-grandchildren, George and Jake.
Besides her parents and husband, Pauline was preceded in death by her brother, William Lackey; and two sisters, Katherine Lackey and Verna Bothell
Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland, with Chaplain Don Monaco officiating.
Interment will follow at Lake Park Cemetery.
Friends will be received Monday from 4 to 6 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home.
