Pauline Gorenz Bero, 89 YOUNGSTOWN- Pauline Gorenz Bero, 89, died late Wednesday evening at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Mrs. Bero was born December 21, 1913, in Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, a daughter of Anthony and Josephine Skal Gorenz. She was a homemaker and a member of the Saint Nicholas Roman Catholic Church. Her husband Armand Bero, whom she married July 20, 1940, died in July of 1957. She leaves two daughters, Barbara Bero-Cole of Youngstown and Mary Rose (Robert) Steiskal of Canfield; one son, Charles (Renee) Bero of New Middletown; one brother, Louis Gorenz of Bessemer, PA; three grandchildren, Heather Bero-Albanese, Elizabeth (Michael) Jorge, and Erika Steiskal; four great-grandchildren, Charley Bero-Albanese, Hunter Bero-Albanese, Joseph and Santino Jorge; two step-grandchildren; Robert (Jocelyn) Steiskal and Jeffrey (Wendy) Steiskal; and step great grandchildren. Gavin and Justin Steiskal. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Anthony, Joseph, Frank, and Donald Gorenz; and five sisters, Josephine Beil, Frances Rascsak, Anne Kuhel, Albina Serjak, and Mary Puz. Funeral services will be Saturday 9:30 AM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers and at 10 AM at the Saint Nicholas Roman Catholic Church. Friends may call Saturday from 9:00-9:30 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family request Masses.
