Paula Jean Johnson, 77, passed away Monday afternoon, March 25, 2024, at The Inn at Walker Mill.
Paula was born August 31, 1946 in Youngstown, Ohio, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Dudy Petrillo.
A graduate of Poland Seminary High School, Class of 1965, Paula attended Youngstown State University and graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology. She formerly worked as a drafter for Ohio Edison.
Paula's fondest memory was working alongside her family at her father's pizza shop, Petrillo's Pizza, on Powers Way in Youngstown, a hometown favorite in the Youngstown area. In her free time, she enjoyed scouring flea markets in Ohio and Pennsylvania, collecting antiques and objects of interest.
Her grandson, Kevin, gave her the greatest joy. She adored him, was a loyal follower of all his activities, and enjoyed reveling in Kevin's accomplishments to her fellow residents at The Inn at Wallker Mill.
Paula leaves two sons, Kevin (Jennifer) Johnson of Lowellville and Sean Johnson of Athens; one sister, Toni Boyd of Brookfield; her grandson, Kevin Johnson, Jr. of Lowellville; and her cousin, Julie Kostecki of Hubbard.
In addition to her parents, Paula was preceded in death by her aunt, Bianca Zicke and uncle, Orlando Petrillo, who were a large part of her life and second parents to her.
A private family service was held Thursday, March 28, 2024.
