Struthers - Paul W. McLaughlin, 71, of Struthers, died early Monday morning at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.
Paul was born November 24, 1941 in Lisbon, a son of the late Leroy and Edith Horner McLaughlin.
He was raised in Lisbon and was a 1960 graduate of Lisbon High School and attended Youngstown State University. In 1961, Paul moved to Struthers and worked as an Inspection Supervisor for Sheet & Tube for over 20 years. An avid fisherman, Paul's favorite fishing spot was Lake Erie. Paul enjoyed spending time with his family especially, his grandchildren.
Paul was a member of Poland Lodge F & AM 766, and a former member of the Odd Fellows. He was a member of the Struthers United Methodist Church.
Paul leaves his wife, the former Carole Andre, whom he married June 24, 1961; one daughter, Holly (John) Miller of Struthers; one son, Philip (Tracy) McLaughlin of Norfolk, VA; four sisters, Margaret Randolph of Oklahoma City, OK, Grace Wade and Ruth Dillon, both of St. Petersburg, FL, and Jean Reynolds of Gainsville, FL; two brothers, Clarence "Sonny" McLaughlin of Arcadia, FL, and David McLaughlin of St. Petersburg, FL; and three grandchildren, Carol-Ann, Laura and Joy.
A memorial service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home in Struthers.
