Services will be held on Monday, July 28, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Episcopal Church 7640 Glenwood Ave.,Boardman,Ohio 44512 for Paul T. Higgins. He passed away July 22, 2014 after a long illness.
Mr. Higgins was born Oct. 13, 1963 in Youngstown, a son of Gene Higgins and Joan Keith. He was a 1982 graduate of Ursuline High School and earned an associates degree in civil surveying technology from Central Piedmont Community College in No. Carolina. Paul had been a drafter in the underground utility works department at First Energy of Akron.
He enjoyed nature walks in Boardman Park and Mill Creek Park and spending time with his family.
A veteran of Panama and the Gulf War, Paul had served eight years in the Marines Corps.
Surviving him is his mother Joan Keith of Boardman, his father, Gene E. (Zoe) of Houston, TX, a brother Peter J. (Jeanne Lilly) Higgins of Portland, Oregon and two half brothers, Samuel E. Higgins of Chicago and Daniel E. Higgins of Houston. He is also survived by three nieces Eva, Emma, and Khloe Higgins and a sister- in- law Alma Higgins.
Preceding him in death is a brother David J. Higgins.
Friends may call Sunday from 2:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. at Davis-Becker Funeral Home 8536 Market St. in Boardman and Monday from 10:00 a.m.-10:45 a.m. at the church.
