Canfield - Patty "JoAnn" Tarnaski, after an extended illness passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 1, 2017 at her residence. JoAnn was born October 23, 1940 in Buckhannon, WV, a daughter of Wesley and Margaret Shreeve Boggs.
JoAnn worked 16 years for the former Little Forest Medical Center. She then went on to work for Mirkin and Associates, Mirkin, Sherman and Associates at various businesses.
Her last place of employment was Plaza Donuts in Boardman, where she worked for several years and made many great friends. Some of her favorite past times where family, grandkids, great-grandkids, walking, watching movies, and floral design.
She is survived by her husband, Raymond, whom she married Oct. 14, 1983; her children, Hugh R. (Dodie) Haynes Jr. of Boardman, Dale R. Haynes of Salem, Kathy (Justin) Getz of East Earl, PA, and Joseph W. (Kathleen) Haynes of North Lima; one brother, Bob (Katy) Zickefoose of Pittsburgh; one sister, Katie (Norbert) Teklinsky of Pittsburgh; brother-in-law, Rich (Deb) Tarnaski of Youngstown; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 7 nephews; 7 nieces; 3 great-nephews; and 2 great-nieces.
Besides her parents, JoAnn was preceded in death by one son, Louis Ray Haynes; and three brothers, Donald, Ross, and William Boggs Sr.
Services will be held at Davis-Becker Funeral Home, 8536 Market St., Boardman, Monday at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in the Lake Park Cemetery, Youngstown
Friends and family will be received Sunday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
