Boardman - Patricia Eileen Thompson, 80, of Boardman, died Wednesday, June 27, 2007 in Northside Medical Center. Ms. Thompson was born May 3, 1927 in Youngstown, a daughter of Clarence and Rebecca McGuire O'Brien. She was a 1945 graduate of South High School and worked as a sales clerk and then in department management for JCPenney, retiring after 26 years. She was a member of St. Dominics Catholic Church and JCPenney Retirees. Ms. Thompson enjoyed working with crafts, baking, summer times at Geneva on the Lake, and she was an avid card player. She adored her pets and they were always a part of the family. Her husband, Donald Thompson, whom she married August 19, 1946 died in June of 1977. She is survived by two sons, Donald Thompson and Norbert (Sharlene) L. Thompson both of Boardman; three brothers, Norbert (Cynthia) Moran of Salem, Ronald (Donna) Moran of Youngstown, and Fred (Lucy) Moran of Austintown; one sister, Eileen Cook of Los Angeles, CA; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a long time friend of 23 years, Paul Birch of Struthers. Besides her parents and husband, Ms.Thompson was preceded in death by her step-father, Norbert Moran and sister, Donna O'Brien. Memorial services will be held Saturday, 1:00 PM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland with Deacon Ray Hatala officiating.
