Poland - Patricia Ann "Patsy" Hudak, 65, of Poland, died Thursday morning at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.
Patricia, affectionately known as Patsy, was born March 8, 1946 in Ducktown, TN, a daughter of John and Janet Heins Mundy. After Patsy's birth her family came to this area where she resided all her life.
A 1964 graduate of Poland Seminary High School, Patsy attended Youngstown State University. For ten years she was employed as a pharmaceutical technician for Ketchum Wholesale Pharmaceutical House in Youngstown. Later she worked as a designer for Floral Plus.
Patsy loved to cook and her specialty was Italian. Family and friends always looked forward towards her homemade spaghetti sauce, lasagna, and pepperoni rolls. Patsy also enjoyed creating beautiful flower arrangements. Patsy's family, friends, and her little Ruby meant everything to her. She was the best mother, sister, and friend, and to her nieces, she was their Auntie and Aunt Pat Pat.
Besides her father John Mundy and his dear friend Betty Carpenter of Poland, Patsy also leaves her husband John, whom she married December 4 1971; her daughter, Amanda Hudak at home; her sister, Gloria Mundy and companion John Campana of Boardman; two nieces, Andrea Ruehle of Poland and Tammy Ruehle Jablonski of Twinsburg; two great nephews, David and Noah; and two great nieces, Lauren and Lilly.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Janet Mundy.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday at 4:00 PM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland with Rev. Ron Royalty officiating. Friends will be received Sunday from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
