Youngstown - Pastor Harold Day, 88, of Youngstown, died early Tuesday morning at Hospice of the Valley, Hospice House.
Pastor Day was born November 13, 1921 in Struthers, a son of Louis and Julia Day.
He attended Poland Seminary High School and was the Pastor of the Baptist Gospel Tabernacle in Youngstown.
His wife Dorothy whom he married June 6, 1941 died January 15, 2000, He leaves one daughter, Dorothy Patterson of Portersville, PA; one son, Jack Day of Cleveland, TN; one step-son, David Ladigo of Campbell; two sisters, Hilda Dobson of Austintown and Eileen Gibson of Sandusky; two brothers, Cornel Day of Poland and Robert Day of SC; fourteen grandchildren an thirty-one great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents and wife, Pastor Day was preceded in death by a step-son, Phillip Ladigo, four brothers, Gus, Leo, Nick, and Louis Day; half-brother, John Sandy; and sister, Mary Shumaker.
Services will be Friday, 7:00 pm at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home with Pastor Dorothy Patterson officiating. Friends will be received Friday from 5:45 PM to 6:45 PM at the funeral home.
