Youngstown - Pamela M. Simione, 39, of Boardman, passed away Sunday afternoon at the Hospice House after a courageous battle with cancer.
Pam was born October 22, 1969 in Youngstown, a daughter of Gerald and Barbara Opencar Ross.
She was a 1989 graduate of Chaney High School and worked as a bookkeeper for Community Correction Asssociation for over 14 years. Pam was a member of the First Covenant Church in Boardman.
Her greatest accomplishments were her marriage and motherhood. She pursued these dreams as vigorously as her battle with cancer. Her favorite time was spent with her kids in the sun, at the ocean. Pam always believed God never gives you more than you can handle. She and her family believed the day she went to live with Jesus in Heaven was a day of celebration.
Besides her father, Gerald Ross of Youngstown; she leaves her husband Donald Simione whom she married September 7, 1996; her daughter, Brianna Simione and her son Nicholas Simione both of Boardman; two brothers, Jerry Ross of Youngstown, and Frank Ross of Campbell; her grandmother, Mary Ross of Campbell; two sister-in-laws and their husbands Diane and Tony Villanueva of Boardman and Anna and Ed Pence of Austintown; two brother-in-laws, Bob and his wife Chris Simione of Lowellville, and Brian Simione of Youngstown; four nieces and nephews; and one great-nephew.
Besides her mother Barbara whom she lost to cancer and missed so very much, Pam was preceded in death by three grandparents.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, 1:30 p.m. at First Covenant Church in Boardman with Pastor Thomas Sharkey officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake Park Cemetery.
Friends will be received Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Poland and Thursday from 12:30 until 1:15 p.m. at the church.
