Orlando âa�A"Leftyâa�A� Donatelli, 79 Edinburg- Orlando Donatelli, 79, of 5175 W. Main Street, died Sunday afternoon at St. Elizabeth Health Center. Mr. Donatelli also known as Lefty was born November 9, 1924 in Lowellville a son of John and Rose Juliano Donatelli. He was raised in Lowellville and moved to Carbon in 1953. He was a graduate of Lowellville High School and served in the United States Navy with the Sea Bees in the Pacific during World War II. He was an electrician for Sharon Steel and later a train engineer for Carbon Limestone for over 22 years retiring in 1987. Mr. Donatelli was a life member of the American Legion Post #247 in Lowellville where he was past commander and Adjutant, a member of the Struthers VFW Post #3538 and a member and usher of St. Lawrence Church. Besides growing garlic, vegetables and flowers he enjoyed spending time on his daughterâa�a��s front porch enjoying Lowellville. Besides his wife, the former Josephine Sandora whom he married November 24, 1948, he leaves one daughter, Cecilia (Larry) Nichols of Lowellville; one son, John (Sharon) Donatelli of Toledo; one sister, Rose Slaven of Lowellville and four grandchildren, Bill and Stephen Nichols and Ragina and John Donatelli. Besides his parents, two infant sisters and four brothers, William, Michael, Daniel and Ormond Donatelli preceded him in death. Funeral services will be Wednesday, 1:15 PM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Lowellville and 2:00 PM at St. Lawrence Church. Friends may call tonight from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
