Olga (Dunchak) Miletta

April 18, 1930 — April 17, 2016

Olga Miletta, 86, died Sunday morning, April 17, 2016 at Masternick Memorial in New Middletown.

Olga was born April 17, 1930 in Carbon, PA, a daughter of John and Mary Solvesky Dunchak. At the age of 9, Olga and her family moved to Poland where she lived all of her life.

A 1947 graduate of Poland Seminary High School, Olga worked as a teller for two years at the Lowellville Bank. She met her husband, James Miletta, while ice skating at the quarries. They were married June 18, 1949. Olga loved her role as a homemaker, raising her family and their little dog, "Dusty." Olga was known for her baking, especially her apple pies. She enjoyed spending time gardening in her flower beds and bird watching. She was a 4H Advisor and a member of the American Legion Post #247 Auxiliary. Olga was a charter member of Holy Family Church in Poland.

Olga is survived by her husband of almost 67 years, James Miletta; three sons, James (Shelley) Miletta, Jr., of Lowellville, John (Deborah) Miletta of Struthers, and Thomas Miletta of Boardman; one daughter, Marilyn (Michael) Sprague of Youngstown; two sisters, Stephanie Centofante of Poland and Irene (John) Finamore of Fayettsville, PA; eleven grandchildren, Jim III, Joshua and Jacob Miletta, Jacob, Thomas and Daniel Miletta, Tammy Bonett and Anthony Miranda, Jessica and Morgan Miletta, and Billie Jo (Chuck) Wright; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

Besides her parents, Olga was preceded in death by one daughter, Kathleen Smith; one grandson, James Robert Smith; one sister, Eleanor Dunchak; and three brothers, John, Joseph, and Andrew Dunchak.

A prayer service will be held Friday, 9:15 AM at Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Church in Poland with Msgr. William Connell officiating. Interment will follow at the Holy Rosary Cemetery in Lowellville.

Friends will be received Thursday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home in Poland.
