Norman A. Johnson
Boardman
Memorial Services will be held Monday, 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church for Norman A. Johnson, 91 of Boardman. He passed away Wednesday afternoon at Shepherd of the Valley-Boardman.
Mr. Johnson was born Oct. 21, 1922 in Youngstown, a son of Eric M. and Emma E. Johnson. He graduated from South High School and had attended Muskingham College.
He was a draftsman and engineer with General Fireproofing Business Equipment for 37 years retiring in 1983.
He was member of the church, it's brotherhood and an usher. And a member of the Glider Flight Association.
Norman is a veteran of the US Army Air Force, serving during WWII. He was a flight officer and a glider pilot.
Surviving him is his wife of 62 years, the former JoAnn A. McIntosh whom he married May 3, 1952. His children Jon E.(Darla) Johnson of Austintown and Ingrid L.(Tim) Cassidy of Boardman and Scott N. (Jodie) Johnson of Austintown. Also, four granddaughters, Melanie (John) Diaz, Ashley (Joel) Albrecht, Karly Johnson, Erica Johnson, and six great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death besides his parents is a brother Herbert E. Johnson and a nephew Leif Johnson.
Friends may call Monday at the church from 10-10:45 am.
