Norma Trombacco
New Springfield
Services will be held Saturday, 11:00 a.m. at Davis-Becker Funeral Home in Boardman for Norma Trombacco, 85 of New Springfield. She passed away Monday evening at Sterling House.
Mrs. Trombacco was born April 18, 1929 in Woodworth, a daughter of David S. and Margaret J. Langhurst Clay. She is a 1947 graduate of Springfield Local High School. She retired in 1989 after working for 19 years as head cook for New Springfield Elementary School. Norma also attended Cosmetology School in Youngstown.
Norma was a member of New Springfield United Methodist Church and had taught Sunday school and bible school.
She loved to cook, especially baking cookies. She shared that love with the New Springfield Cooking Teens as their advisor for 14years. With her husband Herman, they had traveled extensively throughout the United States and Canada.
Surviving her are her daughters, Beth McKenrick of Smithfield, NC, Pamela (John) Pagac of Boardman and Valerie (Perry) Gillespie of Winfield, IL, a sister Mary Blankenship of Chardon, and a brother, William Clay of New Springfield. Also six grandchildren Dawn Bak of NC, Matthew and Amy Pagac of Boardman, Shane (Sarah) Gillespie, Crystal (John) Sterrett and Britney Gillespie all of IL and six great grandchildren, Christopher, Erica, Matthew, Aiden, Sylvia, and Aria.
Preceding her in death is her husband Herman R. Trombacco whom her married May 9, 1949 died in Nov. of 2011 and her parents.
The family requests material tributes take the form of contributions to Sterling House, 2300 E. Canfield Road.,Youngstown, OH 44511.
Friends may call Saturday from 10:00 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home, 8536 Market St., Boardman.
