Nora E. Seman

Struthers - Nora E. Seman, 77, died early Tuesday morning, March 7, 2017 at Hospice of the Valley's, Hospice House.
Nora was born July 25, 1939 in Youngstown, a daughter of Clyde and Marie Barringer Byers, and was raised in Austintown.
Nora married her husband, John J. Seman, Jr., on December 14, 1957 and became a dedicated homemaker. Together, they made their home in Struthers and raised their family.
She centered her life around her family and home and cherished her role as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Nora loved being "Grammy" to her five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and enjoyed attending all of their extracurricular activities. Some of her favorite pastimes included crocheting, sewing, hosting family holidays and decorating her home for the seasons.
She was a longtime member of Christ Our Savior Parish at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church.
Nora is survived by her husband, John; three daughters, Beverly Bodnar of Struthers, Cindy (Dave) Duraney of Campbell, and Terri (Frank) Austrino of Estero, FL; a brother, Ronald Byers of Austintown; five grandchildren, Robert (Danielle) Bodnar Jr. of Struthers, Jessica (Richie) Powell of Austintown, Cristin Duraney of Campbell, Carrie Duraney of Campbell, and Alyssa Austrino of Estero, FL; and three great-grandchildren, Damien Cox, Richie Powell, Jr., and Layla Powell.
In addition to her parents, Nora was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and Eben Byers; and her mother-in-law, Mary Seman.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, 11 Spring St., Struthers.
A prayer service will be held on Friday at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church. Interment will follow at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery.
The family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions in Mrs. Seman's name to the Hospice House, 9803 Sharrott Rd., Poland, Ohio 44514.
