Struthers- Nicholas Parish, 90, died peacefully at his home with his home family at his bedside. Mr. Parish was born Oct. 29, 1915 in Campbell the son of the late Anthony and Lucy Leone Parish. He served two years in the U.S. Army during WWII and was employed at McCleary Trucking Company. Mr. Parish enjoyed running his antique furniture stores and working on cars. He also loved playing the guitar and enjoyed music. He was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Struthers. Nick will be sadly missed and remembered by his wife of 53 years Elizabeth Ann (Harrold) Parish; his three sons, Nick Parish Jr., at home, John Parish of Youngstown and Raymond (Joan) Parish of Brookfield; five daughters, Linda Parish of Warren, Diana Parish of Struthers, Sheila (Ray) Sharkey of Youngstown, Cindy (Steve) Antal of Austintown and Kimberley Calvin of Florida; a brother Anthony (Pat) Parish of Youngstown,;two sisters, Mildred Franklin of Diamond and Ann Klopta of Youngstown; 19 grandchildren, Lucy, Shannon, Veronica, Mindy, Rose Marie, Jessica, Stephanie, Jennifer, Sam, Brian, Kenneth, Raymond, Nicholas, Mathew, Stephen, Joshua and Mark Nommay, and Melissa Parish to whom they made their home; and six great-grandchildren, Haley, Noah and Angelina Marie Nommay, where she made her home. Mr. Parish was preceded in death by four brothers, Angelo, James, John, and Jake; and two sisters, Rose Whiteside and Mary Zinghini; and a granddaughter, Lisa Marie Parish. Friends may call from 5-8PM Thursday at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers. There will be funeral services at 11am Friday at the funeral home.
