LOWELLVILLE- Nancy Jean Rotz, 74, died June 24, 2013 at her home.

Mrs. Rotz was born February 27, 1939 in Youngstown, a daughter of Jobe and Mary (Watson) Barnhart.

She was a graduate of Union High School in New Castle. She first worked as a secretary for McBride Motors and later retired as an auditor from the Lowellville Bank, with over 20 years of service. After retirement, she worked for Mr. Pike at the Dairy Queen in Poland.

Nancy was a member of the Lowellville United Methodist Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading all types of novels, playing cards with her family, and cooking, always enjoying a good meal and fellowship on Sundays with her family.

Her husband, John D. Rotz, Sr., whom she married September 21, 1959, died March 21, 2002. She is survived by her three children, John D. (Lisa) Rotz, Jr. of Campbell, Patricia (Ed) Harkleroad of Lowellville, and Karen (Don) Geras of Youngstown; seven grandchildren, Tyler and Haylie Rotz, Heather (Andy) Peterson, Ashley and Eddie Harkleroad, and Michelle and Sam Geras; two great-grandchildren, Madisyn and Nicholas Peterson; sister, Audrey (Frank) Blackwell of Wooster; and brother, Donald (Marilyn) Barnhart of Struthers.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Henry, Charles, and James Barnhart.

Family and friends will be received Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Lowellville. A memorial service will follow on Saturday at 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Lowellville Cemetery.
