Struthers - There will be a memorial service at 10 a.m. on Monday at High Pointe Church on Struthers Rd. in Poland for Nancy Lee Pochiro, 69, of Struthers, who died Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center after sustaining injuries from a car accident. Mrs. Pochiro was born February 3, 1939 in Youngstown, a daughter of James and Wilma (Muzevich) Baker. Nancy graduated in 1957 from Campbell Memorial High School. Mrs. Pochiro worked at Red Lobster in Boardman for over 20 years, retiring in 2004. She was an active member of High Pointe Church for 13 years. In that time, she participated in the Womenâa�a��s Ministry and served on the hospitality team, which provided meals to families in times of need. She conducted group prayer meetings in her home and was a contributing member of The 700 Club. She was a certified master gardener and a member of the Fellows Riverside Garden Club. She belonged to the Boardman YMCA, where she participated in the Silver Sneakers program. Among her many joys were gardening, painting, and spending time with her grandchildren. Nancy was known for being a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, and true friend. She was extremely compassionate and touched many people in her lifetime. Nancy will be sadly missed by her family and many friends. She leaves two daughters, Rana (Fred Esposito) Pochiro of Struthers and their son, Nino Esposito, and Lisa (Robert) Miletta of New Springfield and their children, Jessica Pignatelli, Daniel and Tyler Miletta; a son, Christopher Pochiro of Boardman and his children, Lana Pochiro and Brandy Rosine; three sisters, Patricia Skelley of Boardman, Judy (Andrew) Pechatsko of Mentor and Karen Radonski of Boardman. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Bonita Baker. Family and friends will be received Sunday afternoon from 2-4 p.m. at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home in Struthers and Monday from 9-10 a.m. before the memorial service at High Pointe Church.
