Boardman - Nancy R. Crickmer, 86, of Boardman, died Thursday, February 21, 2008 at the Greenbriar Healthcare Center. Mrs. Crickmer was born January 30, 1922 in McKeesport, PA, a daughter of Domenick and Regina Sauro D'addario. A graduate of McKeesport High School, she worked as a secretary for the United States Justice Department in Washington D.C. and also in the accounting department for Washington D.C.'s welfare department. After living in Washington D.C., she also made a home in Pomona, CA and later in life made a home in St. Petersburg, FL. She has resided in Boardman the last several years. She was an avid worldwide traveler, golfed, and loved going to the opera. One of the highlights of Mrs. Crickmer's life was being invited to a private ceremony at the White House and meeting Pope John Paul during Jimmy Carter's presidency. Her husband, George Crickmer, whom she married in October of 1958, died in January of 1965. She leaves her niece, Joann (Ralph) Ferrante of Pomona, CA; two nephews, Donald (Patricia) Lame of Mineral Ridge and Robert (Maria) Lame of Boardman; and several great nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Regina D'addario and Mary Jo Lame; and a brother, Michael D'addario. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland. Entombment will follow in the Penn Lincoln Memorial Park, North Huntingdon, PA.
