Youngstown-A prayer service will be held Monday at 10:15 a.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Poland followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Christine Church for Myrtle Clautti, 83, who passed away Thursday evening, March 29, 2012 at the Hospice House.
Myrtle Clautti was born on May 16, 1928 in Volant, PA. Her parents were Pietro and Rosalie Massacci. She attended school at Warren Harding High School. She worked at Edison Electric and then at the National Mattress Company.
Previous to returning to Youngstown, Myrtle lived in Florida, and then retired to Warren, Ohio. She was the wife of the late Paul Clautti. She was a homemaker for most of her life. She was most often found in the kitchen cooking for family, neighbors, friends and relatives. Myrtle also loved to sew. She shared her time and sewing talents with many churches making vestments for priests and altar cloths for churches. Myrtle was also very creative with crafts. She enjoyed putting together flower arrangements and making unique gifts. Most recently, Myrtle's creative artwork was displayed at the YMCA of Boardman.
Myrtle leaves her three children, Dr. Linda (Kenneth) Hricz of Pittsburgh, Richard (Gina) Clautti of Boardman, and Anna (Lawrence) Conti, also of Boardman; five grandchildren, Dr. Christopher (Patricia) Clautti, Joseph (Margo) Clautti, Lisa (Michael) Mistovich, Krystina Boano, and Blake Via; and four great-grandchildren, Wilson Boano, Christopher and Enzo Clautti and Nicolas Clautti. She is preceded in death by her two sisters, Rose Cancelli and Vera Germano.
Family and friends may call on Sunday from 5-8 p.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Poland. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
