Boardman - Muriel Maxine (Parsons) Bynane, 93 of Boardman, died Friday, November 12, 2010 at Ron Joy Nursing Home in Boardman.
She was born July 12, 1917 in New Castle, PA, a daughter of Oscar and Jessie Rhodabaugh Parsons.
She was raised in New Castle before moving to Cleveland where she married William Bynane, May 13, 1934. Muriel moved to Youngstown in 1951 and worked for the United Engineering Company. She liked bowling and won many trophies, drawing, writing poetry and enjoyed reading and crafts. She also enjoyed singing, Muriel was always proud that she sang under Leopold Stokowski at Severance Hall in Cleveland.
She is survived by a daughter Maureen "Reene" Bynane Cole, two granddaughters Atty. Kimber Cole of North Bethesda, Md. and Kelly (Kenneth) Van Such, of Canton, Mich., two great-granddaughters, twins, Kaley and Kenna Van Such of Canton Mich., a niece Mary Maxine (Bill) Cody, and nephew Edward (Sandy) Minett all of Salem Ohio.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Berniece Minett, a son, Ronald Bynane, and a son-in-law, Clifford Cole.
Family and friends will be received Monday from 4-7 at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Poland, and Tuesday from 10:00 - 10:45 am. where funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, with the Rev. Dr. David Gilbert officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
