CANFIELD This is in loving memory of Florence K. George, 88, who passed away peacefully at home Wednesday morning, May 21, 2014, with her family at her side.
She was born Dec. 4, 1925, in Youngstown to William and Flossie Forker.
Florence was a 1943 graduate of South High School and in 1945, graduated from Youngstown Hospital School of Nursing. She then worked as a head nurse at Youngstown Southside Hospital.
On June 28, 1952, she married Kenneth W. George, who passed away Dec. 12, 1994.
She was a sweet, gentle and loving mother who will be deeply missed by her two daughters, Deborrah (Joe) Packo and Gayle George (Bob Lindberg); two sons, Ken George and Doug (Ann) George; along with 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Family and friends may call from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday May 24, at the Davis-Becker Funeral Home, 8536 Market St. in Boardman, with services at 11 a.m.
The family requests that material tributes take the form of contributions to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Boardman, OH 44512.
