Youngstown - Minnie I. Armile, 81, of Youngstown, died Thursday, July 24, 2008 at Camelot Arms Care Center. Mrs. Armile was born August 9, 1926 in Youngstown, a daughter of Theodore and Laurinda Warner Fields. Mrs. Armile worked as a sales associate from 1978 to 1981 at Petrie's and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, where she was a member of the choir, the leisure group, and ELCA. Mrs. Armile also officiated religious services for Camelot Arms Care Center and Shepherd of the Valley. She was a member of the Saxon Club and worked at the democratic polls. Mrs. Armile was a generous and good-hearted person who loved people and animals, particularly her cats. Her first husband, Robert Eaton, died in 1954. Her second husband, Philip Armile, whom she married December 11, 1964, died July 30, 2000. She leaves three daughters, Roberta (Stephen) Whiteley of Austintown, Marie Manning of Youngstown, and Melody Holt of Youngstown; a son, Craig Eaton of Youngstown; 10 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Laurinda LaGuardia; a sister, Romayne Glass; and three brothers, Elmer, Harold, and Eugene Patterson. A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 4 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 3300 Canfield Road, where friends will be received from 3-3:45 p.m. prior to the service.
