Mildred" Millie" Pollock passed away on Sunday March 6th at 8:10 AM  under clear blue Florida skies on a bright sunny morning in Clearwater Florida. Her son's Robert and Thomas were with her and walked with her to the gates of Heaven. Millie was 92 years old. Millie was a wife , mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Millie is survived by her family Robert and  Kristine Pollock their two children Jonathan and Amanda and Great Grandchild Savannah;  Thomas and Madelyn Pollock and their two children Austin and Madison all of who live in Clearwater Florida . Services will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery on Friday 18th at 1:00  PM for those who wish to attend.

Millie was born in Poland Ohio on June 9th , 1923.  Millie was the youngest of Charles B. and Lottie Robinson's four children Millie's siblings were Lottie, Annie , Henry.  Millie married Robert C. Pollock on August 30,1946. They celebrated 57 years married life together until Robert passed away on April 27th, 2003.

Mildred was the embodiment on the volunteer spirit. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother, Boardman Band and Choir supporter , served on the Acolyte Guild at Boardman St James Episcopal Church, gave tirelessly to all manner  of  church functions from the rummage sale , working in the kitchen at church functions, and as a talented crafts woman and major contributor presenting Saint James Church with a beautiful Christmas Manger, which last time we checked, was still in use today.
Millie fought to "Save old St James" from demolition  and proudly rang the steeple bell as the church was moved along 224 from its original site at the corner of 224 and Market Street  to rest as a historical  chapel in its new home Boardman Park.

Millie was a 50 year member of White Shrine of Jerusalem and 25 year member of The Easter Star. Millie  received special merit awards of recognition from The March of Dimes and American Heart Foundation. Millie was volunteer at South Side Hospital and at the new Western Reserve Hospital  in Boardman .

Mildred V Pollock , I'll leave out the middle name ...she really didn't like it ( wink) ...Violet .... we will miss her and are so grateful for the time she was here among us. She was a good, honest and selfless person . "Just say NO" wasn't in Millie's vocabulary. Millie was always willing and able to say YES ...When asked "We need your help ; Can you help? WILL you help?"  Millie answered "YES, count me in, I'll be there".

Millie was a wonderful home cook and  excelled in baking all manner of pastries and deserts; recipes which gratefully she passed down to her sons and their families. Millie truly enjoyed preparing both the daily family meal and the Holiday Celebratory feast.  Growing up as a family we were so blessed  to have both of our mom and dad's siblings close and as an extended family we shared every holiday together, enjoying great food prepared by loving hands.

Mille and Bob loved to travel and go on family summer vacations to Florida; perhaps that is why her boys ended up there. The family stayed at Caribe Villas in Pompano Beach, booking next year's reservation before they left to return home to Ohio. Millie loved the pool and the ocean.  She was a romantic, looking east out over the Atlantic when the moon was FULL she would say " MOON over Pompano" smile and  rest her head on her husband's , our father, Bob's shoulder.

Millie loved music and Loved to dance; and dance they did ... Millie and Bob. The last video we have of our mom and dad together they were dancing in the library of our home in Buffalo, quietly graceful,  in their own perfect natural sync and smiling to each other.
,
Millie lived a long and full life.  It is said "LIFE is God's GIFT to us " What we do with it is our GIFT to GOD" . Looking over Millie's life here with us  I KNOW our GOD is smiling and pleased.
Millie is in Our Lords Care and has ASSENDED  to be with her husband , her sisters , and brother, sister & brother in law Bob and Isabel  and the old gang "the Dirty 8" ... is reunited : Julius & Ruth , Al and Ann, Chuck and Barb , Millie and Bob.

Ascension
and if I go while you're still here
Know that I live on , vibrating to a
different measure-behind a thin veil
you cannot see through.
You will not see me- So you must have
faith,
I wait for the time when we can sore
together Again-
Both Aware of Each other-
Until then, LIVE your life to its fullest
And when you need me,
just whisper my name in your heart
and I will be there.

Some of you may recall I recited this at the closing our fathers eulogy... I felt it was appropriate then.... reflecting mom and dad's love for each other and planned to use it again when mom's time came to rejoin and "Both Aware of Each other" when she would rejoin Beyond the "thin veil" with her true soul mate, the love of her life our father.

Thank You for allowing us the privilege of sharing our thoughts with you.
