Mildred Dolores Mickler

Mildred Dolores Mickler, 79 Austintown- Mildred D. Mickler (Millie), 79, entered into eternal life Thursday evening following a brief illness. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was born Christmas day 1923 in Union City, Pennsylvania, a daughter of George and Mary Pacega Ranyak, and moved to this area in 1940. Millie worked for Maplecrest Nursing Home in Struthers for over 35 years retiring in 1992. She was a member of St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church in Struthers and enjoyed playing bingo and cards with her family and friends. Her husband Leo Mickler, whom she married June 30, 1947 died August 24, 1977. Millie is survived by two sons, Thomas (Debbie) Mickler of Canfield and James (Susan) Mickler of Struthers with whom she made her home; four grandchildren, Heather Carcelli, Courtney Mickler, Kristen Mickler and Jamie Donald Mickler, one great-grandchild, Dominic Carcelli, and two sisters, Martha Shayko and Ruth Herman both of Union City, Pennsylvania.. Funeral services will be Monday, 11:30 AM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home and 12:00 Noon at St. Nicholas Church. Friends may call Sunday from 4-7 PM at the funeral home.
