Michaelene Ann Folsom

Boardman - Michaelene Ann Folsom, 78, of Boardman died Friday, September 21, 2007 in Assumption Village after a brief illness. Mrs. Folsom was born February 8, 1929 in Farrell, PA, the daughter of Michael and Margaret Ritz Terpack. A graduate of Farrell High School, Mrs. Folsom received her Bachelors Degree in Speech & Hearing Pathology from Indiana State Teacher's College in 1954. She did her graduate work at Penn State University. She worked as a speech pathologist for the Youngstown City Schools and later as a professor at Youngstown State University teaching speech pathology classes. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and the Salvation Army. Mrs. Folsom was an animal lover and was a supporter of Angels for Animals. Her husband, Clay Folsom, whom she married June 1, 1963, died October 9, 1999. Mrs. Folsom leaves her son, Michael J. Folsom of Boardman. Besides her husband, Mrs. Folsom was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved dog, Candy. There will be no calling hours or services. Arrangements are being handled by the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland.
